Christmas Eve

Christmas eve I was able to sleep in, which felt glorious! J left the house early that morning to finish his Christmas shopping, typical man! Hehe. He called to tell me that we were having Christmas at his family’s later that evening, so I jumped up in a mad rush! I had to finish wrapping the presents and get everything sorted for us to go over there. It had originally been the plan to go on Christmas day, but plans changed.

J came home and spewed the presents all over the floor as we wrapped in a mad frenzy! Little Kitty thought it was a big game, and kept attacking the wrapping paper as we attempted to finish wrapping. While we were wrapping, J asked me if we were going to wrap our children's presents together. *Shocked* I said, yes.

We arrived at J’s parents’ house and we were the first one’s there. That’s okay, as I was able to visit with his parents and nephew, which I always enjoy. His dad fixed me a cup of Hot Apple Cider, which was delicious! That’s a huge step for his father, as he is not one to socialize or get to know someone. His mom, I adore, and before I knew it she had volunteered me to help her cut up veggies in the kitchen with her. We were telling stories and laughing, it was a lot of fun! I honestly felt like I fit in, that I was “right at home”.

We opened gifts and it was pure chaos! Everyone opens gifts all at once, and there is wrapping paper flying everywhere! It seems that everyone opens gifts so quickly that they don’t even know who it was from, or what they really got. I noticed J asking who he got this and this from, just because he didn’t take the time to read the “sticker”. I’m used to, in my family, to one person opening a gift at a time, not all at once.

J's momma got me a beautiful necklace and earring set, along with 4 gorgeous picture frames. She knows that I love photography! I also got scarves, a watercolor & sketching set, & a CD holder for my car.

All in all, I had a really great time. I felt accepted into his family, and it seemed that they were really treating me as one of their “own”. That’s such an incredible feeling!

Here are some pictures from the day!

Evil & Gloom

A drawing with evil & gloom.

A sun peeking through.

Raindrops falling down

Cascading into tears.

Looking above, there is glory.

A cancer survivor, not a victim

Now she's finally free.

While all weep below, she rejoices in becoming whole again

A Little Winter Date

J and I went on a little date tonight. We drove around and looked at Christmas lights, it is something we always enjoyed doing as a child, so I thought what better way to relive our childhood memories :). Here a few snapshots that I got!

We went and rented a movie and now I'm at home enjoying the rest of my Saturday evening!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Deep down in the south we were hit with a winter storm in the middle of the night. This is what I awoke to. Needless to say, I'm spending the day at home! Snow day anyone!? I thought I didn't get these anymore since I was a grown up, but apparently I do! Awesome! Love PTO Time at work! Yessss!

I'm staying warm and cozy in my house! Hope you're safe wherever you are today, too!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

I'm not a fan of Christmas music, but I love this version of this song.

Slow Down Life

Do you ever feel like life somehow becomes crazy and you forget to stop and enjoy the little things that you love and enjoy the most? There are so many things that I absolutely adore, that without I don't feel whole. I feel as if a part of myself is missing, my inner self.

I used to love to write. Write poetry, that is. It was my release, I was always searching for inspiration to spark my next poem. It was a rush and yet something that gave me so much joy. I've found a new passion; photography as well.

It seems here lately, I've become so caught up with daily life that I've lost sight of the things that I enjoy. I feel as I'm just going through the motions, and not fulfilling my every day to the best of my capabilities.

Do you ever feel like you're caught up in life? How do you find the time to get back to the things that mean the most? How do you find time for yourself?

Winter Wonderland...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Here's mine and J's first Christmas tree together :).

A wreath I made for our door! It's hanging on the inside. It's so bright and cheerful, I love it!

These are some ornaments I made. Nothing too fancy, but I think they are simple and lovely!

Photo Blog

I'm at home sick. With the flu. My talk with my body, apparently didn't work! Booo!

A day of blogging, watching movies, and the couch is in my forecast. Not the greatest way to spend a weekend, but at least it's cold outside and snow is on the way.

Here are a few photos of my week:

Outside my office door. A SNOWY wintry morning.

I came home last night to this laying on the bathroom sink! A present from J. And by the way, if you're in the market for a new razor, HELLO! This one ROCKS! My legs are silky smooth! :)

And awoke to this being brought to me in bed this morning. A chocolate chip muffin! J surprised me! I simply love him! :)

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Any exciting plans?

Dear Body

Everyone around me has the flu. It's that time of the year. Unfortunately, I'm feeling a bit sniffly this morning, and praying that I don't get sick. So my body & I had a little convo this morning. It went a little like this:

Dear Body: I take vitamins every day. I eat healthy. And I bundle up like an Eskimo when I go outside, and it's cold. So PLEASE don't let me get sick...I'm counting on you!

Let's hope she listens!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. Black Friday is nuts! I stay at home in my comfy bed - there's nothing I want that badly!

2. Christmas shopping this year will include hopefully finding the perfect gift for each person .

3. Holiday shopping makes me stressed out! I always wait till the last minute and find myself in a frenzy! This year I have a much better head start!

4. This year my Christmas list will include not many things. I'm one that never writes out a wish list, and am always thrilled with what others may get me.

5. Bargain hunter, or full price shopper? I love a good bargain!

6. The best and worst things about shopping is the worst is the crowd! The best is having a day to myself. I'm not one that enjoys shopping with others.

7. Online shopper or in-person shopper? I'm becoming more of an Online Shopper, although I do love seeing the items up close and personl!

My Week...

My week has consisted of:

Taking the blanket on the back of the couch and pretending to be superman - as I swirl around the house! It was my superman cape! You laughed and giggled at me the entire time! I told you when we had kiddos that we had to play superman cape with them :).

I gave you fist pumps and we "raised the roof" because Wheel of Fortune was coming on!

You gave me a "HIGH FIVE" for guessing the Final Jeopardy clue! Oh yeah!

We played bottle cap with Little Kitty - because it makes us giggle oh so much!

I love you :). You make me oh so uber happy!

I love our goofiness :)

Happy Thanksgiving

I'm wishing everyone a Wonderful & Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is "To Write Love on Her Arms Day". Do you know what this movement is all about?

I think it's something that we should all support, but not just for today. We should embrace it always!

It's to support those individuals that are suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, addiction, and self injury. With this movement we provide them with a sense of hope and inspiration to help them along their way to recovery or through recovery.

Why don't you join?

Love Pictures, Images and Photos

This morning I was woke up by kisses. Do you know how wonderful that is? My love wraps me up in his arms, and whispers how he wishes he could stay snuggled up in bed with me all day long, only doing what our heart desires. Followed by lovely kisses and an I love you, before he headed off to work and I got up to start my day.

Now that's what I call perfection :).

It's been a while since I've been here. Life has been crazy. I mean, like whoa crazy! Anywho, here are some things I'm eying...what are you wishing for this week?

Rod's Exclusive Horseshoe Nail Peace Necklace

Tickets to this man's show! (Brantley Gilbert) I seriously love him! If you've not heard of him, check him out! Plus, he's seriously drool worthy!

And just a little bit of this. Just because life has been insanely crazy. And I need a moment to catch my breath..

Life is Crazy

Things are crazy here...

I decided to open an Etsy shop. So I've began working on that like crazy, and also fixing to begin creating like mad to have things to put up to sell!

I've been working on photos trying to get my selection finished for the Photo Swap that Ms. Tillie is hosting! Also, I'm trying to dedicate myself more to my photography and learn as much as I can. It's a passion of mine, so I'm pursuing it with all that I have.

J & I are still trying to adjust living with one another, and are learning something new each and every single day. We've had our bumpy roads.

I need to write. Write. Write. About our weekend get away. Our fishing adventure. My nights spent at the lake. There's definitely not enough time in the day.

I'm attempting to find my niche. And live life to the fullest!

Hopefully you'll hear exciting new adventures from me soon!

I've been keeping up with reading as best as I can. So I'm still around here...somewhere...

~Peace & Love~

Dear Jon...

Dear Jon,

Isn’t that a name of a movie!? Ha, oh I crack myself up sometimes! Last night I came home to you greeting me at the door! I loved it. You wrapped your arms around me and gave me a big ol’ kiss! You asked me how my day was, I love that you care.

We went and conserved water together, what a fun way to wind down from the day! ;)

You cooked me dinner of hamburger helper, but used ground turkey because you know that beef makes me sick and you said I was pms’y and that you knew I wasn’t feeling well. Thank you for being so thoughtful. You let me sit on the living room floor, play on the internet and drink a Strawberry Daiquiri while you cooked dinner. It was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long work day. Those little things mean the most!

I let you watch your show, American Pickers for exchange of letting me watch “The Bachelorette” later on that evening. You dissected each man on the show, cracking me up! Frank = stalker. Chris L. = landscaper dude, so he was cool. Kasey = looney, etc. You asked me if we were on that show, if I would’ve picked you. Awww, of course I would honey! You’re the best! You stole the remote from me, changing it right in the middle of the rose ceremony and then laughing hysterically as I tried to wrestle it back away from you. You’re sneak attacks behind me, tickle wars, & our giggle fest last night was awesome! You cracking up at me as I Googled how to “Cut a Canteloupe”, what don’t hate, you didn’t know how to either!

Our life is way fun, let’s keep it that way, k?

Your giggle box

Dear Lover...

Dear Lover,

Saturday night we were preparing to go out on a date! Wahooo! I love our date nights :). You took forever, coming down the stairs every 5 minutes with a different shirt on. Making me pick which one I liked best. It was kinda cute, I'll have to admit! :)

Before getting in the shower I witnessed you running around the house “clearing out the bad guys with your gun”. Only problem was, there was no one in the house but me (dying laughing), you and the kitties! I love that you’re such a big kid sometimes! Promise me you’ll always stay that way! It makes my heart smile!

The incident in the grocery store with the cantaloupe was so freakin’ hilarious! I’m sure your dad punk’d us by telling us to smell the stem of the cantaloupe to know which one to choose. I wonder what the security camera “watchers” were thinking of us? Giggling and laughing so hard tears were streaming down our faces.

I love our silly moments! Let’s make sure that we have millions more!

Btw: you’re a great cantaloupe sniffer! ;).

Your partner in crime

Dear Boyfriend....

Dear Boyfriend,

Last night I tried super hard to stay awake and wait on you to come home. The tiredness won. I love that you woke me up by kissing me on my forehead to tell me you were home. You know how much I love forehead kisses! They make me melt!

I remember you waking me up and pulling me closer to you. Telling me to come closer as we snuggled up under the blankets. I just love falling asleep next to you! It’s simply bliss! I promise to never take it for granted, ever! Even when you hog the blankets. And my pillows too! Or somehow end up all the way on my side of the bed leaving me a smidgen of room to curl up in! I’ll still cherish laying there beside you!

This morning you looked super sleepy, having worked 15 hour day yesterday. I just wanted to stay snuggled up in bed with you and sleep until our heart was content. I saw that you had your famous Cheesy Rice for dinner last night. I forgive you for leaving the rice stuck to the bowl in the sink. I washed it out for you before I left for work! I know that you were super tired. It had to be one am before you came to bed.

Tonight we are having snuggle fest! I can’t wait! Movie & pizza night, per your request! Time not spent with you sure does make me appreciate the times we actually do get to spend with each other! You seriously rock! And I love you more than Cheese! (Hey, you know that’s a lot).

Love your CheeseBall
(That nickname is never going to go away, is it? Its okay, I secretly love it! )

Food Wars

Sounds fun doesn’t it? We sure have one going on in our house!

See, J & I were raised completely different. We eat completely different, or so I’m learning. He eats things loaded in fat, grease, sodium, etc and I eat the complete opposite.

I don’t eat salt – J loves it and puts it on everything
I don’t eat a lot of grease – J loves it
I don’t eat a lot of red meat. – That’s all J lives on.
I cook with lots of veggies. - He doesn't eat alot of them
Love olive oil. - Hates it.
Hummus. - He hates it
Yogurt. - He hates it.
Fresh Fruit. - He eats it occasionally.
Love raw veggies. - He's not a fan
Eat ground turkey. - He doesn't like
Eat whole wheat pasta. - He eats this. I just sneak it in :). Ha!
Eat egg whites. - He can't stand.
Etc. Etc.

J is the complete opposite. He eats all the things that I hate to touch. And honestly since changing my diet, they make me sick if I try to eat them. Trying to grocery shop for the two of us is becoming ungodly expensive and very challenging. And sometimes just quite comical as J looks at me in the grocery store as in what the hell is that?

I’ve cooked two dinners that we’re pretty “normal” or so I thought and J hasn’t liked either one of them. It’s becoming quite frustrating. He’d live off of Hamburger Helper, Rice a Roni, Hot Pockets, and Frozen Totinos pizza if he could. Or I’d let him. But I like for us to both sit down and eat a dinner together. It’s becoming more of a challenge than I had originally thought. I really hate to have to cook two separate meals; one for myself and one for him. When I come home cooking one meal is enough, let alone having to cook two.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Are any of you completely opposite eaters from your spouse? If so, how do you overcome it?

*Just venting is all* :). I'm smart enough to know not to fight over food. How stupid would that be? (Just saying because someone that I talked to about this earlier thought I was picking fights over this).

On a Positive Note

I think all my posts on Monday start off with the same sentences....

"Where did the weekend go?"

"Why do the weekends go by so quickly?"

Etc. Etc. You get the point.

I don't feel any differently today.

This weekend I brought my two kitties’ home with me! J & I new apartment. Friday evening J & I found ourselves snuggled up on our new couch that we got on Friday too, eating a $5 Hot & Ready Pepperoni Pizza from Little Caesars and watching "Pretty Woman". I just adore that movie, and somehow J got suckered into watching it!

Saturday J woke up and went and did his "thing". I spent the afternoon at home being lazy. Unpacking more boxes. Taking a 2 hour nap! Ahh, so lovely!

Saturday evening consisted of grocery shopping. Setting up our 30 gallon fish tank that J brought from his old house. Cooking burgers stuffed with cheese and hot sauce on the grill. Absolutely delish! J cooked dinner for us.

Baked Beans

BBQ Grippos (The best chips)

Sunday we lounged around the house waiting for our washer/dryer to be delivered. J cooked breakfast for us. Homemade biscuits and gravy & eggs. Yumm! The washer/dryer finally arrived around 3 pm that afternoon and then I got to play catch up on laundry that had built up. We were hoping to go fishing, but no such luck! Although it was a scorcher, mid 90's for a high! Shew! Saying in the a/c was the right medicine.

Things with J & I have improved. I sat down with him on Friday evening and we had a talk, and told him that we had to communicate with each other, that we can't just read each other minds. We spent the whole weekend laughing and smiling. Not one argument or spat. Which is a huge improvement from last week! This week has started off great as well :).

A little faith & hope took us a long way. I'm happy to be getting back to "US".

Hope you have a great week. I've got the apartment to myself tonight, J is out mowing lawns. I fixed a dinner of Beef Stroganoff and Texas Toast. And am now watching The Bachelorette. I love this damn show. I'm such a reality junkie!

Hope you all have a great evening!

Shutter Love Tuesday - Pets

I'm joining in on "Shutter Love Tuesday" hosted by Trendy Treehouse. This week is Pet Photos. Here's my German Shepherd, Allie. She's a rescue, that we've had about a year. She had 4 homes in 6 months before finally coming HOME. Me and her got off onto a "rocky" start but are finally "bonding". One day at a time!

Thrift Store & Ice Cream

What a lovely weekend so far!

J & I slept in till 12:30 this afternoon, yikes! We stayed up till 3 am talking and being goofy! Watching videos on YouTube, talking about our childhood and just reminiscing.

We headed out for lunch where I had a club wrap on sun dried tomato tortilla. Absolutely delicious! We headed out driving with no particular destination in mind and ended up stumbling upon this Thrift Store. It was amazing and had two floors! I could have spent HOURS in there. J kept "losing" me to me being lost looking at all the goodies! I bought a piece of pottery for $5! It's Bybee Pottery a local pottery that has been around since late 1800's where I live, and there pieces are extremely expensive. Not to mention you have to be put on a waiting list to even get some. Score!

We then headed to Sportsman's Warehouse so J could go look at all the fishing/gun/hunting stuff :). We even looked at a pink .22 for me to possibly have in the future! I love to shoot!

And then the treat of the day....

Coldstone Creamery! I'm so sad I didn't get a picture!

Cake Batter ice cream with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & Oreos! Can we say sugar overload? But oh so delicious!

We also caught a movie at the dollar theater! "Alice & Wonderland". Only $1.50 for a ticket! Now that's a good bargain :). Have you seen it? What did you think??

We ended the evening taking a scenic drive through the country side down by the river. So peaceful.

I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

How was your Saturday?

Storage Ideas & Decor

Hi~ I'm so super excited and a bit nervous! :). J and I found our very first apartment last night! We begin moving next weekend! Shew; that gives me a week to start packing! Oh how I despise packing...
But the end will be SO worth it!

My dilemma! I need your ideas! On storage. Thank goodness we have 2 bedrooms but unfortunately the closets are not huge! :(. They are decent size, well one is anyhow! The other not so much! I"m a girl, I have lots of crap! Even with de-cluttering and downsizing!
So any ideas that you can provide me with, would be fantastic!

I need ideas on how to store the following:
Scarves - I have lots!

I have a new jewelry chest that J bought me that all my jewelry and accessories will be going into! That'll be a life saver!
Winter clothes are going into totes!

Any clever/thrifty decor or storage ideas that you may have they are MORE than welcome here!! :).

So spill it! What's your storage secret?

Any other ideas on living with your significant other? I'm super excited!

Red Barn & Stories

How amazing is this? Can you imagine the stories that this barn could tell? I grew up living the "Farm Life" constantly at the barn, riding horses, playing in the massive fields that were green with grass. Or some summers brown because of a drought! My very first steps were taken in the middle of my Godparent's barn, how amazing! Laying in the hay loft telling stories. Thinking I could ride a goat when I was 5 years old, even after numerous pile drives into the dirt. Oh the stories...

I wonder what may have went on in this barn. A barn I photographed the other evening headed to J's house. Hope you enjoy!

I'm loving my photography adventures!

Alvin the Chipmunk

You ever have one of those days? Where on your lunch break you take off running to your car, for an hour of silence. Your lunch sits in the refrigerator back at work and you decide today is a day that you'll treat yourself to some tasty goodness! That was my day. Not to mention it was the first day that it wasn't raining and the sun was shining bright, even more reason to spend it outside!

Where did I treat myself for lunch? No other place than...SONIC! Sometimes you just need a little bit of Sonic in your life to brighten your day!

Oh ALL the choices to pick from! Which one to choose? Hmm....

~Cherry Sprite & Grilled Chicken Wrap for me, Please!~

And look who was sitting on the rocks in front of my car, just being his cute little self!
Do you see him? He's so tiny, it's kinda hard too. It's none other than "Alvin the Chipmunk". Isn't he adorable!

Lunch = relaxing & scrumptious

Simple Photos

A simple picture post.

My latest canvas that I painted tonight! Definitely my favorite!!

My new hair cut and color! I'm loving it! Oh yeah, and my new glasses. Had to wear them all last week because I was having major contacts issues! All better now though! J & I at the Mexican restaurant this past weekend.
~Lemon Love~

J welding, making something for his momma! Cool picture I thought!

How is your week going so far? Any exciting plans?

I cleaned out my closet tonight, or well started and already have 3 bags full of clothes (just shirts)! I still have the dresser and to sort through my pants/jeans/dresses. Yikes!

Spill It!

I wanted to share with you something I've been working on this weekend! I've always been fascinated with art of any sorts, but have never found myself to be an "artistic person". By not being artistic I mean, I can't draw! I love to doodle, sketch, but when it comes down to drawing something with definition and clarity it never has been something I've been able to do. I've been wanting to learn how to paint for quite some time now, but again thought that it would never go anywhere because I can't "draw". Silly me!

Last Friday I was browsing through some blogs that I "follow", and stumbled upon an Online Art Workshop that actually looked like I may be able to do! I was super excited. After a few emails exchanged with the class instructor, reading what will be taught, and watching a short intro video I decided to jump in and sign up for this class! Granted, it's only been 3 days but I'm absolutely hooked! I'm still learning as I go. Playing with colors. Textures. Trying to figure out all the basics on "painting", but I can't wait to see where this all may take me. With that being said, I wanted to share a couple "backgrounds" I have been working on and see what ya think. Remember, BEGINNERS ART! :).

My first background. I love the colors in this! There are a few mistakes that I may touch up. So much fun though!

This is my 2nd background that I actually have been working on tonight. I'm not so sure about this one, but thought I'd share anyway. Something funky/unique about it though...

If you love art, painting, & just being creative go check out this blog she's fantastic! Maybe you'll even join in on the class as well, it's completely at your own pace!

~Peace & Love~

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's that time again! Fill in the Blank Friday! Why don't ya join in on the fun? You won't regret it, I promise! Okay, so I'll be waiting to see your answers too!

1. The very best thing about the summer is the warm weather. Grilling outdoors. County fairs with your love. Outdoor concerts. Summer dresses. Days spent at the lake. Fishing. Days spent at the pool. Camping. Driving with the windows down, radio up. BBQ's. 4th of July. Oh the list could go on. I just love summer!

2. My first crush ever was this kid at the first daycare I attended. His name was David. I remember I let him kiss me when I was 5 years old, because he asked nicely. Or that's what I told my mom. Ha, oh was she worried she'd have her hands full!

3. This may sound really silly but even though I despise Peanut Butter I've been told I make some AWESOME peanut butter fudge! Too bad I've never tasted it, to see if it really is that great!

4. I squeeze my toothpaste from wherever my fingers land on the tube. Honestly. I never had really payed attention to this.

5. My absolute favorite "comfort food" is a big bowl of pasta. I love it! Oh how I wish it wasn't loaded with a million carbs!

6. A random fact about me is that I'm a cancer survivor! Woot!!!!

7. The one piece of technology that truly makes my life better and I couldn't live without is the internet. You have the whole world at the end of your fingertips and all the resources that you could possibly want/need. It's absolutely amazing!

One Year = ♥

J, I love you so very much. You're my best friend. My soul mate. My partner in life. And most of all the one whom stands by my side each and every single day, no matter the circumstance. I thank every day that you came into my life, and appreciate each and every single moment we share together. You have brought such joy to my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, it will be an amazing journey/life shared together!

Last weekend was J & I one year anniversary!!!! It was an incredible weekend, and I wanted to share some photos with you.

J & I headed to Cheddar's for dinner
This was sooo good! Starbucks MudSlide with Starbucks liqueur and Absolut Vanilla Vodka! Yumm!
My anniversary present to J. We went to a minor league baseball game! So much fun, these are!
One of the mascots! How cute!
Throw that ball, pitcher! You can do it!
We divulged in ball park food! Big soft pretzel for me, with cheese sauce to dip it in! J had a bag of peanuts and a beer! So nutritional! Yumm :).

After the game we were a bit hungry so we stopped in at a place called "Parkette Drive In".(Click on the link & check it out) It's a famous drive in where I live, it's even going to be featured on "Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives" with Guy Fieri! It's absolutely delicious, and perfect drive in food! Yumm!

One Year Anniversary = ♥

Photo Opinion

I need honest opinions/critiques. Please!

I'm dabbling into the photography world, as I've always found it quite fascinating. I'm learning as I go, with the photography techniques as well as the editing. (Wow is it complicated). I'm loving every step of the way, and here's a photo that I have taken ( a few months ago) and edited. Please give me your honest opinion, what do you really think? What is it missing? Too much color? Not enough? Softer edges? Sharpen the photo more? Etc. Etc.

Click on the photo to make it larger, if you'd like!

I'm looking forward to your responses! Good and bad!

Where in the World...

I've never participated in this, but I love to travel so thought why not! I've yet to do any international traveling, but have some great pictures of places that I've visited thus far!

It's Wednesday and it's Where in the World Wednesday, hosted by Classy in Philadelphia, why don't you join in too!

This is me in Santa Fe, New Mexico back in 2007! Absolutely beautiful! If you haven't been there, you're missing out! The scenery, gorgeous mountains, and character of this town is unbelievable!

This is the sunset over the Sandia Mountains., in Albuquerque, NM. We were actually able to ride a "Tram" up on a zip line up to the top of these mountains where there is a beautiful restaurant where we enjoyed dinner at sunset. What a gorgeous view! Defiinitely a memory I'll never forget! The tram was quite the ride and thrill, but definitely an adventure!
So, where in the world are you on this Wednesday!?

Two Things I Know

I just love it when I happen upon a new blog that just makes me smile! Especially on a Monday Morning, even better! With that being said, I found this blog! You must go check it out! I thought I'd participate in her "Two Things I Know. You should partake as well!

1. I know should...
start packing my things! When we finally find an apartment, I wont have to have a "Freak out" moment that I have so many things to pack and organize.

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. My favorite book growing up was basically anything that I could get my hands on. I was always a very avid reader. I remember thoroughly enjoying the "Thoroughbred Series" by Joanna Campbell!

2. The funniest book I've ever read was the Stephanie Plum series by Author Janet Evanovich. I haven't made it through the entire series yet, but they are laugh out loud funny!

3. The one book that has truly changed my life is two books actually! Danielle Steel's book "Journey", really hit home to me while reading it since I had just gotten out of a similar situation. As well as the book I'm currently reading, "Eat, Pray, Love", absolutely fantastic!

4. If you're looking for a real "tear jerker" you should probably read hmmm I'm not sure on this one. There are a few that get me emotionally..

5. If I could meet any author living or dead I would want to meet any of them! It amazes me the creativity they all have and how they're able to dream up some of the story lines that they actually do.

6. The next book on my "to read" list is I don't have one at the moment. Do you have any suggestions?

7. If I was snowed into remote cabin in the woods and could only choose three books to bring with me I'd bring the last book in the Twilight Series. I've yet to finish that book! And I'd grab whatever tickled my fancy for the last two :).

Under Water

Here in the state of Kentucky, we are under water. The flooding and destruction here has been horrific, and I'm so happy to finally see some sunshine. Hopefully we can start drying out and picking up the pieces. Luckily, myself and family is all safe and dry with no damage. For those that weren't so fortunate my heart goes out to them.

There is a road to the far left. Instead it looks like a raging river rolling through.
Trying to get off my road. No success.
The road to J's house. A complete washout
Hope wherever you are, that you're safe and dry.

25th Birthday Celebration

Last weekend was my 25th birthday! Woot, a 1/4 of a century old! Thought I'd share what a wonderful day it was with you! Even if it's a week late!

My mom and I went to lunch at a little Italian Restaurant called "Papalenos". It's delicious. We then headed over to a Coffee & Tea cafe, and I grabbed a White Mocha Frappe. With cinnamon sprinkled on top! Later that evening my wonderful boyfriend and I, were accompanied by two of my closest friends for dinner!
We then headed off to a Irish Pub for some great music and drinks of course! The band that was playing had a Bag Pipe Player! Awesome!
I love him :).
My birthday cake that J had made for me! Ice Cream Cake at that! Yumm
Make a wish!

It was a wonderful birthday, probably the best yet! Thank you J for making it so very special, and making me feel like a princess. You're amazing. Here's to a great year! I wonder what's going to be in store...

I just realized this was my 100th post!
